ONCE A DRUID
King Arthur And The Revival Of Druidism
ing Arthur is intimately involved with the druid movement in Britain and, as befits the reincarnation
of a magical Dark Age king he holds high office throughout druidic organisations. Among The King's
titles are:
onoured Pendragon of the Glastonbury Order of Druids
fficial Swordbearer of the Secular Order of Druids
ember of the Council of British Druid Orders
wordbearer to the Cotswold Order of Druids
From the time of the great Celtic nations Druids have held positions of power. Revered by the ordinary folk
they were the doctors, judges, scholars, mystics and mages of their day, travelling the country and
spreading word of their religious and spiritual beliefs.
Little remains today of their original writings and teachings as a result of the severe persecution they
recieved at the hands of Romans and Christians alike. They were regarded as figures to be feared and
destroyed as a result of their points of view, which differed radically from those who sought to hunt them
down.
As a result of the loss of many of the original manuscripts a wide range of druidic beliefs exist today. This
spread come as a result of many attempts to try and reconstruct the ways and methods of two thousand
years ago with little information to go on.
But if those druids were alive today they would stand for environmentalism, justice and spiritualism, given
their belief in reincarnation, the balance of the forces of nature and the interaction between the physical
world and the 'other' world.
